Redcar and Coatham
Tall Victorian terraces near the seafront, often with walled yards rather than lawns. Salt exposure is high, so we use capped composite and stainless fixings, and screens can make a yard much more sheltered.
Kirkleatham, Wilton, Lazenby and Yearby
Quieter villages just inland, around Kirkleatham's old buildings and the Wilton estate. Gardens are larger and more sheltered, and timber decks are more practical here.
Marske-by-the-Sea and New Marske
Marske has 1930s houses, cottages near the old village and newer estates, some right by the dunes. New Marske sits higher, with views over the coast from some gardens.
Saltburn-by-the-Sea
Victorian streets on the clifftop with narrow gardens, some with sea views. Access can be tight, through the house or down a back lane. Raised decks are popular where the view allows.
Guisborough, Hutton Lowcross, Skelton and Upleatham
Inland market town and villages below the Cleveland Hills, with stone houses, larger plots and much less salt. Hardwood decks look especially good here.
FAQs
Do you cover Guisborough?
Yes, including Hutton Lowcross and the streets around the priory. It's within our usual area.
Do you work in Saltburn's Victorian streets?
Yes. We plan for tight access and narrow gardens, and protect the house if materials need to come through it.
